Say the honest thing first

Most five-borough TV bills we hear about are Spectrum or Optimum, not Xfinity. NYC’s last readable city cable consumer report card (DoITT 2017, still hosted on nyc.gov, fetched 2026-09-05) lists Altice Optimum, Charter Spectrum and Verizon FiOS as the franchisees in that report. Comcast is not named there. Xfinity’s own New York, NY local page markets internet “in the New York area” and tells you to check availability. That is marketing language, not a five-borough franchise map. Address-level Xfinity inside any NYC borough is not verified on this page.

The search still exists. People move from a Comcast city. People live in Jersey City, where Xfinity officially markets service and lists a store at 30 Mall Drive West (xfinity.com/local/nj/jersey-city, 2026-09-05). People confuse the Spectrum box with “Comcast.” If the logo on the router is actually Spectrum or Optimum, use those pages instead — Spectrum or Optimum.

We will not invent an Xfinity TV price
